I love that Queue has Task Templates. I’m still new here and just testing things before deploying to clients so there might be some functionality I can’t find. But here are a couple improvement requests:
1. Unless I’m missing something, I request that Queue should decouple recurring schedule from the Task Template itself. Instead allow the Task Template to be added to any client, THEN select the recurring date at the client level. That way the template can be reused for any client regardless of if the service starts in at the beginning of the month or the middle of the month or the end of the month.
2. Somewhat related: It’s very unclear how to remove/stop a Recurring Task Template from a generating on a task board. For example, if we have 3 clients using the same Task Template, and one cancels, I assume we shouldn’t delete the Task Template, right? Maybe the solution is to improve the “Task Template Management” screen to not only have the option to delete but also to see what Clients/boards are associated to recurring Task Templates to better manage it.
3. Ability to edit a Task Template - nice to have. I think a workaround is to create a Task Board full of ‘templates’ to update as needed then save individual tasks as Task Templates as needed.
